whelp here we are again, blogging it up. So lets get started. WOW! If you were in class today or you weren't, I want to say that were lucky, but on the other hand missed a great conversation starter. So, I to wish I could have a girl with big....um you know what I want. Or a boyfriend that would cry in a movie and pick out my outfits when I go out. Right?

To be honest, I wasn't excepting anything like this from this course. I took principles of Animation I last year and I thought this intro class would be a freshman breeding box of the same stuff just dumb down and less work. Well my thought were sent to hell. But at the same time this is making me think about animation and media in a whole new different way. I don't about you, but I do know that at 8:30 in the morning this isn't what I was thinking of.

Now the first movie, by a pastor from a church. If you weren't there, take Heavy D's "I like big butts" video, but another white male in it and switch the words so now its about BIG BIBLES. I guess I can understand what was running through his head when he came up with this idea. Maybe he wanted to connect with kids about faith or.... Okay maybe I can't understand why he made this. Leeper was like when he first watch this, he was pissed. This isn't AIM so I'm not going to put "LOL" but I wanted to laugh in class if it wasn't at 8:30 in the morning.

The second movie was about these two girls that wants what any woman would want, the "perfect man." A man that would understand her, be her friend, share in her interest, and just be there. The only difference between me and their choosen hero's is our sexuality. This guys are gay. I like this video. Just the title did it for me. Well put together and really funny. Some people might of not understood this, but its pretty simple concept.

We also talk in class, which one of these videos are the Christian one. In one had you have the one talking about Bibles. White male "rapping" about how he wants a girl but not for her looks or body but on how big her Bible is. On the other hand you have these to girls that just want a man that wouldn't cheat on them and no worrying about what he does around the opposite sex. The "perfect man." What do I think? I think that the messages are clear and they conveyed them very well. As of right now, I'm done with white things and gay men.

Oh no... Oh no O'Connor.
If I was more awake I would of loved to see how many people look around or at me when the N bomb was dropped. At this point I can care less. 1.) Growing up be black in a white neighborhood. 2.) Growing up being black in the ghetto. 3.) Its a book, any day If I had to the choose to goes to be white trash her a Nigga. Well I guess you know my answer right now. I'm I offend? Of course not...just don't let me catch you saying it.

Honestly, I found the BGB video to be quite funny. Since it was meant to be a parody of a video with a poor message, I found it to be almost...um...refreshing? Well, OK, maybe I won't go that far. But I still found it to be more funny than offensive.

I have to admit, I didn't think to turn to you or any specific person when O'Connor used the infamous n-word. I was a little surprised, but since I went to a primarily black high school where they constantly used to term towards one another back and forth, my ears are almost deaf to it now. Keyword almost. And don't worry, I will certainly NOT ever be using it. :P
