Hey everyone this is Vic's blog. "what's a blog", sorry I had to put that. This is going to be full of grammar and problems and plot holes and spelling errors, so feel free to make fun of me in class. I'm the only black person in there.

To start this "blog" of, a online journal, the first short filmed we watch today by William Kentridge. This piece I found deep and had to be discussed in class. I feel that this film was trying to address to the people of the world that despite their poverty they still have something to live for. They are packed the whole town on their backs and are moving to somewhere special. Simple planed and excuted. It looks like they used torn pieces of paper to make puppets and charcoal for the sky. The shadows in the back ground were live action, they only reason I know that is because Leeper told the other class.

The second film was the child. This left me personally distraught. At first is seems that she is just moving slow motion and the grey shadow is moving with her. To later find out the figure that lumes behind isn't moving at all. To me, like the kid in the conner said, by the door, you might act normal on the out-side and pretend that everything is okay, but you still have this thing forever within you. This presence that you know about in the back of your mind that won't go away like the issues with AIDS and HIV. Despite the things you do to forget you will always know its there, in you.

Jessica Yu, oh my sweet and sour Jessica Yu. This was fun to watch to say the least. To be honest, I could care less what the meaning was behind this, plus I don't really know. Just seeing the different individuals try this sour ball of death was a little pick me up from these other short films. The human face has many of hundreds different muscles in it, and the were all used in the film. Music match great! I'd say two thumbs up but, I don't feel like getting sued, being a poor college student that I am...

The last one that we watched to was the music video. In one word brilliant. This guy is the definition of thinking out side the box or cube, sphere...whatever. Making fun of music videos while making a music video. Nicely plan and great use of the media. Simple effects that they did use. I really enjoyed this one. Didn't understand the man with the beard playing the drums, but hey why ask question. I prefer to stay in my room of ignorance a little bit longer. Long story short, low cost, great use of material. Keeping it simple students really pays off, no pun intended with the pay off thing....think about it.
